Vanessa Cresia

Vanessa is one of our Principal Lawyers and a Director of CTC Legal, Criminal Defence Lawyers. Vanessa has a Bachelor of Social Science in Criminal Justice, completed at Melbourne University in 2008 and a Bachelor of Laws completed at Monash University in 2011. Vanessa was admitted to legal practice in 2012 and has over a decade of experience in practising in criminal law. Vanessa has previously worked in boutique private criminal law firms in the heart of the CBD precinct and through the public sector, namely Victorian Legal Aid.

Vanessa has extensive knowledge of our criminal justice system. She is dedicated to successful results of her clients’ cases. She has been a mentor to various junior lawyers throughout her career and has been in managerial positions through the Government sector. Vanessa is dedicated to vigorously fighting for her clients’ rights to procedural fairness. Vanessa is experienced in all State and Commonwealth offences. She is a strong and confident advocate and regularly appears as an advocate in all Magistrate Courts across Victoria, the County Court of Victoria and the Supreme Court of Victoria.

When Vanessa is not working, she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at women’s shelters, hiking and attending Broadway productions and the theatre of arts.

Sal Catherine

Sal is one of our Principal Lawyers and Director of CTC Legal, Criminal Defence Lawyers. Sal has a Bachelor of Science and Honours Degrees from Monash University completed in 2004. Sal was then employed in the public sector for a decade. Thereafter, Sal completed a Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University which she completed in 2018. She was then admitted to legal practice in 2019. Sal commenced her legal career in the private sector in Regional Victoria. Thereafter, she moved into the public sector, namely, Victorian Legal Aid, and then to a boutique criminal law firm in the heart of the CBD precinct.

Sal has a strong belief in the equitable rights for her clients and securing favourable outcomes. Sal is a compassionate and empathetic lawyer and has a great understanding of her clients’ predicaments. Sal is experienced in all State and Commonwealth offences. She is a strong and confident advocate and appears regularly as an advocate in all Magistrate Courts across Victoria, the County Court of Victoria and the Supreme Court of Victoria.

When Sal is not working, she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her family and dog Bruce, volunteering for the homeless, going to the gym and strolls on the beach.
